Rocket Boys the Musical

Rocket Boys is the story of Homer Hickam, West Virginia native, and his journey from Coalwood, WV to becoming an engineer for NASA. The musical has been adapted from Hickam’s book of the same name.
For this project I partnered with the Northern Appalachian Coal Mining Heritage Association to install an interactive coal mining exhibit into the gallery above the theatre. This exhibit had interactive aspects to allow participants to experience the difficulties a person mining coal experiences.
